Xoë Sazzle (she/her/hers) is an artist, activist, communicator, digital dreamer, contemporary collaborator, and Caribbean Queen. Her activism for the past seven years in Trinidad and Tobago has included performing as drag queen Mizz Jinnay and creating safe spaces for queer people while furthering the efforts of LGBTQ+ activism, with a particular focus on the Transgender community.
Xoë previously served as co-chair of Pride TT, a Trinidad-based organization that galvanized the first public Pride parade in 2018. She has also served as the Community Liaison Officer for the Trinidad and Tobago Transgender Coalition.
In 2021, Xoë moved to New York City to begin a BA in Women's and Gender Studies at Columbia University. She plans on leveraging her Ivy League education while bolstering her community resources to further the work she has begun in claiming legal rights and recognition for the trans community, particularly in T&T, extending to the broader umbrella of LGBT+ and women's rights.
Xoë is the Communications and Digital Content Creator for Caribbean Equality Project in NYC. She also continues her creative advocacy work as the Director of Operations for FLUX Los Angeles.
