World AIDS Day 2019: Theories and Apologies

In commemoration of World AIDS Day 2019, we have partnered with Bloodline Dance Theatre Co., Apicha Community Health Center and Aly Camba to host a special performance of the “Theories and Apologies" ballet. The event will also include a Red Heart Award Honoring ceremony to celebrate the work of film director Micheal Rice and HIV Advocate Jahlove Serrano.

This is part of the Caribbean Equality Project's "Knowing Matters" Sexual Health and Wellness program, which aims to break the silence about HIV/AIDS through education, films, performing arts and promoting prevention, all while offering support to the Caribbean LGBTQ+ community living with HIV and AIDS in NYC. Our collaborative health & wellness outreach and community engagement efforts are focused on ending the stigma attached to HIV/AIDS, while empowering a change in all our lives, as we work together in "getting to ZERO: ZERO new HIV infections, ZERO discrimination, and ZERO AIDS-related deaths”.
