Rajeev N. Singh is an Indo-Caribbean artist, model, and dancer born and raised in Essequibo, Guyana. In 2008, Rajeev was introduced to the art of dance in High School, where he joined a Bollywood Style dance group to develop his techniques and explore his creativity. During his senior year, he co-founded the Kandhiya Dance Troupe, a Bollywood-fusion group that incorporated various styles of dance to promote traditional Indian cultural performing arts.
At the age of 16, Rajeev moved to Georgetown, Guyana to further his academic studies in Fine Arts at the E.R. Borrows School of Art. Through this imaginative self-discovery and aesthetic development, his original art pieces were selected for an exhibition in the Castellani House, Castellani House, home of Guyana's National Art Gallery. To pursue his passion for dance, Rajeev joined the Guyana Hindu Dharmic Sabha’s youth group, a 45-year-old organization dedicated to preserving Indo-Guyanese culture through diverse educational programs and events. He is also a member of both The Dharmic Naujawaan and Naya Zamana dance groups and has performed in their Guyana and New York cultural-dance productions. Rajeev’s artistic career includes modeling for Guyana’s fashion week and being featured in multiple television ads.
He is a current member of Taranng Dance Troupe (Waves of the Future), a group of diverse trained dancers, who are amplifying visibility and unity within the Caribbean performing arts community in the New York metropolitan tri-state area. He is a versatile performer, aside from Bollywood, he is also trained in Semi classical, Ballroom, Contemporary, and Street styles of dance.
In the search for new adventures, personal growth, and pursuing his artistry, Rajeev migrated to the U.S. in 2018, where he currently resides in Queens, NY.
