Darren J. Glenn (he/him/his) is a Trinidadian-born, American intersectional environmentalist, racial justice and LGBTQ + rights advocate, and librarian based in New York City. Glenn earned his MSLIS at Syracuse University before beginning a career as an advocate and environmentalist. He currently serves as the Programs Director for the Caribbean Equality Project, supporting the organization1s mission to serve, support, and celebrate LGBTQ + immigrants from the Caribbean.
As an intersection environmental organizer, Glenn’s work through all the organizations he volunteers for centers on activating projects that holistically care for people from marginalized communities and the natural world. In 2020, Glenn and his brother ultimately co-founded their own non-profit in Trinidad and Tobago, the Glenn Family Foundation, to address critical social, economic, and environmental issues throughout the Caribbean. Beyond his roles at the Glenn Family Foundation and Caribbean Equality Proiect, he now serves as a volunteer for Permatours and the Episcopal Diocese of Long lsland1s Creation Care Ministry. He works as a public librarian in Brooklyn, NY.
